About Us

Raised with Love, Laughter, and Family

Hello! We’re Charlene Vomacka and Marissa Massey, proud co-owners of Ugly Dad Doodles and one of the best Goldendoodle breeders in California. Our husbands, the brilliant minds behind “Ugly Dad Doodles,”inspire our fun-loving and playful approach to life—and to breeding beautiful, happy, healthy Goldendoodle puppies! We believe in bringing laughter and joy into everything we do, which is why our breeder names reflect our sense of humor and love for family. We have to add this disclaimer, of course, our husbands aren’t ugly—it's just a fun, playful name to spark interest and laughter in others, just like it does for us!

Our Story

Raising More Than Puppies — We’re Raising Family

With over 30 years of combined breeding experience, we joined forces to turn our passion for Goldendoodles into a truly family-centered business. At Ugly Dad Doodles, we’re proud to be California’s #1 Goldendoodle breeder, dedicated to raising extraordinary family companions who bring love, laughter, and joy into the homes they join.

For us, it’s about so much more than raising beautiful puppies. We thoughtfully breed for the qualities that make a truly exceptional family dog — incredible temperaments, balanced structure, soft non-shedding coats, sweet teddy bear faces, and the happiest, silliest personalities.

Our puppies are raised in warm, loving homes and surrounded by the joyful chaos of everyday family life — children, infants, elderly family members, and, of course, our husbands! This rich and diverse environment gives our puppies the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, people, and routines of everyday life from the very beginning. It helps them build confidence, develop strong social skills, and blossom into the playful, affectionate, outgoing companions we adore.

To Us, They’re Family

Caring for our dogs is truly a family affair. They are never “just pets” to us — they are family. Every puppy is loved, spoiled, nurtured, and thoughtfully socialized with the goal of helping them grow into confident, happy, well-rounded companions who are ready to seamlessly become part of yours.

We believe the perfect family dog is loving, intuitive, playful, affectionate, and endlessly loyal — a best friend who brings comfort on the hard days, laughter to the ordinary ones, and a whole lot of happiness to every day in between.

Many of our beloved moms live in carefully selected guardian homes, where they receive the same love, attention, and spoiled-family-member treatment as the dogs who live with us. When their breeding years are complete, they remain cherished members of their forever families — exactly as they deserve.

Raising Them With Love, Sending Them Home With Joy

Our mission is simple: to raise extraordinary family companions. When you meet our puppies, their joyful, silly, affectionate personalities shine through. Those happy little faces, wagging tails, and playful personalities are a reflection of the love, attention, and care they’ve known from the very beginning.

We pour our hearts into every litter because we know that behind every puppy is a family waiting to meet their new best friend.

And once your puppy goes home, our relationship doesn’t end. We’re always here for our puppy families, cheering you on through every stage of your journey and sharing in all the joy that comes with bringing a Goldendoodle into your life.

Beautiful dogs. Exceptional temperaments. Irresistible personalities.
A lifetime of love.

We can’t wait to welcome you into the Ugly Dad Doodles family.

From our family to yours. 🤍
