Welcoming a new puppy is an exciting step, and we want to make the process simple for you. To reserve a puppy, you’ll start by filling out our interest form, then securing your spot with a retainer. Be sure to review our reservation policy so you know how it works.

We require a $500 non-refundable retainer to hold a puppy. Our preferred methods are Zelle or Venmo—please contact us for payment details.

Retainers can also be submitted via GoodDog.

Puppy Reservation & Policies

At Ugly Dad Goldendoodles, our goal is to make the process of bringing home your new puppy exciting, transparent, and stress-free. Please review the following policies carefully before reserving your puppy.

Retainer Policy

A $500 non-refundable retainer is required to hold a spot on our waitlists. This fee compensates us for the time, care, and resources involved in raising the puppies, reviewing and approving applications, communicating with families and planning litters & placements.
Retainers are applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.
We only accept a limited number of retainers per litter to ensure availability. If more puppies are born, we will open additional spots.
Puppy picks are made in the order retainers are received.

Litter Transfer Policy

We allow a one-time free transfer of your retainer to a future litter with available spots.
If a second transfer is requested, an additional $500 non-refundable retainer is required.
Transfers must be used wisely, as they are limited to one free switch.

Puppy Selection Policy

Puppy selection takes place at 5 weeks of age.
Families may visit in person or choose virtually through photos or video if out of town.
For in-person visits:
- Please wash your hands before entering the puppy pen.
- Wear clean socks or enter barefoot (no shoes in the nursery).
- Please stop beforehand if you need a restroom, as none are available in the nursery.
These rules help us limit outside traffic and keep our puppies healthy and safe.

Reserved Spots

We always reserve the first pick of each litter for our breeding program.
On occasion, this spot may be released for adoption at an additional fee, without breeding rights.
