Our Raising Methods
As an ethical breeder, we believe in giving every puppy the very best start in life. From day one, our puppies are gently handled and introduced to proven developmental activities that help them grow healthier, stronger, and more confident. These methods not only prepare them for a smoother transition into their forever homes but also set the foundation for happy, well-adjusted companions.
EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is a series of five simple exercises we perform with each puppy to introduce mild stressors that build resilience. These exercises support healthier cardiovascular function, stronger heartbeats, improved adrenal gland strength, and a greater ability to handle stress and resist disease. Over time, ENS helps puppies develop confidence and adaptability, making it easier for them to embrace new experiences throughout life.
EARLY SCENT INTRODUCTION
Early Scent Introduction (ESI) is a program designed to strengthen a puppy’s ability to recognize and respond to different scents. From days 3 to 16, we gently introduce a new scent for brief intervals and observe whether the puppy’s reaction is positive, negative, or neutral. This simple practice can enhance a puppy’s lifelong potential, especially for roles as service, therapy, or highly bonded companion dogs.
TOUCH SENSITIVITY
From an early age, we gently handle our puppies to help them see human touch as safe and normal. Each week, we add new types of touch—ears, eyes, mouth, paws, tail, belly, and more—so by eight weeks they’re confident and relaxed during everyday handling. This helps prepare them for grooming, vet visits, and family life, and we encourage new owners to continue this practice at home.
EXPOSURE
Starting at three weeks old, we gently introduce our puppies to a variety of sights, sounds, smells, and experiences. From safe items in the whelping box to everyday noises like vacuums and sirens, each new exposure helps build confidence and curiosity. Puppies also meet new people, animals, and environments, learning that the world is a safe and fun place to explore. These early experiences give them problem-solving skills and resilience that will benefit them for life.

CRATE TRAINING
Around three weeks old, we begin gently introducing our puppies to the crate so they learn it’s a safe and cozy space. This early training builds security, supports house training, and prepares them for grooming, travel, and times when a crate may be needed. By the time they go home, our puppies see the crate as their own den, helping them adjust more smoothly to life with their new families.
POTTY TRAINING
We begin potty training early by teaching our puppies to use a designated spot, helping them understand where it’s appropriate to go. This foundation makes the transition to your home easier—while they’ll need to learn your specific potty area, our early training ensures they catch on quickly and with less stress.
